Mystik Vibes conducts performance workshops where audiences have a chance to meet the band and explore our music with us. We perform a few of our tunes and then discuss them with our audiences.

Insights into Indian rhythmic patterns
Indian music is known for its in-depth study of rhythm. The audience in engaged with rhythmic games and clapping challenging rhythmic patterns, through which they get an insight into Indian rhythm. We discuss various rhythmic structures and patterns, and demonstrate how we incorporate them into our music. 

 

Our approach to non-traditional music based on Indian raga systems
A lot of our music is raga-based. The audience joins us in exploring the important phrases and mood of the raga, in the context of our music.

 

Drawing parallels
How we integrate mind and body in our music, in the form of patterns and groove, harmony and melody. We also discuss our music from a Western musician’s perspective: the similarities and differences, our use of harmony and compositional ideas.
